"Snakes on a Plane" (click on pic to see a larger version)
The teaser
trailer is on the web now. In it, there are at least two shots of
TCS' snakes; one where Sam Jackson is whacking the hell out of a snake
near the stairs, and one in which a HUGE snake breaks through a glass
lighting fixture. Just a taste, folks! You
can fill
the time between now and the flick's release by trying to figure out
what species each of the above is! Coming this August: Director David B. Ellis (Cellular, Final Destination 2) directs Samuel
Jackson in
the New Line Cinema epic "Snakes on a Plane"! Couched in secrecy, no
one seems to know what this mystery film is about. What we do know is
that we made a large number of silicone rubber and animatronic reptile
replicas for the film, which will fit into a mix of live and CGI
creatures. In 8 grueling weeks,
TCS' crew of 30 artists and technicians
created scores of slithering synthetic serpents (the CG folks will have
had more than a year. Must be nice!). Rick Lazzarini served as Animatronics
Supervisor and Chief Puppeteer on the film.
